Donald Ray Roberts, 70, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 in Pascagoula, MS. Donald will be remembered as a loving son, brother, and uncle who never met a stranger. He was born in Jackson County, MS on February 6, 1946 and grew up in the Pecan Community. 2 Timothy 4:7 – I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Walter W. & Minnie Lee Roberts; brother, Luther Earl Roberts; brother-in-law, Mac Ready; and sister-in-law, Virginia Roberts. Survivors are his sister, Patricia Ready; brother, Walter Lee Roberts; nephew, Ray Ready; 2 nieces, Alicia Gentry and Melia Roberts; along with a host of great- & great-great-nieces, nephews and family and friends. A visitation for Donald will be Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. Services will follow in the chapel at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Wendell Stork & Rev. Raymond Davis, Jr. officiating and music led by Rev. David Henderson. Heritage Funeral Home, locally owned and operated, in Escatawpa/Moss Point, MS is in charge of arrangements.
