ROGER HOLDEN STRICKEN AT 55 Roger W. Holden, 55, died late Thursday afternoon at Memorial Hospital. He had been ill several months. Mr. Holden was employed for the past 25 years by the Texas Co. in Casper. In 1923 he came from Nebraska to work in the Salt Creek oil field of this vicinity. He worked there two years. He was born May 31, 1897 at Silver Creek, Neb. Mr. Holden married Edith Dunn of Casper on Aug. 12, 1926. She and their four children, Kenneth, Gordon, Patricia Ruth and Betty Lou, all survive. Gordon is home on leave from the army. Other survivors include his mother, Mrs. Anna B. Holden of Ericson, Neb.; five sisters, Mrs. Mark Bodyfield and Mrs. Daniel Pishna of Ericson, Neb., Mrs. Ralph Hanson and Mrs. Don Marshall of Ord, Neb., and Mrs. Kenneth Cummings of Los Angeles; three brothers, Harry Holden of Riverton, H. D. Holden of Dayton, Ohio, and Gene Holden of Los Angeles. Funeral services will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Requiem mass at 9:30 a.m. Monday. Rosary services will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. at the Bustard Funeral Home. ---From the John and Katie Pexton Obituary Collection, Douglas, WY.
