Isabelle Lorraine Hooten, 88, longtime Deming resident passed away Tuesday January 2, 2007 at Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City. Visitation will be at 4 p.m., today at Baca's Funeral Chapel with the prayer vigil there that evening at 7 o'clock. The funeral service will be Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Baca's Funeral Chapels. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. She was born December 24, 1918 in Sweet Home, Texas to Clara Vavrika and Joseph Jezek. Isabelle married Edward Hooten on May 29, 1944 and he preceded her in death January 6, 2000. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church where she was an active member all of her life. Isabelle loved and enjoyed life with her 8 children. Survivors include sons, Joseph Hooten and wife Debbie of Silver City, James Hooten and wife Gloria of Spanaway, WA, Pat Hooten and Child, Cassandra of Deming, Tom Hooten, Albuquerque; daughters, Kay Jenkins and husband Louis, Anna Milo and husband Oleo all of Deming, Carol Rodriguez and husband Sonny of Tucson, AZ, Lisa Brown of El Paso, TX; 29 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Charlie and Jake Rodriguez, Michael and Chris Milo, Khalid Brown and Eddie Hooten. Entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels of Deming.
