Jimmy Lee "Jim" Cooper, 60, of Hubbard, passed away in a Waco hospital, Wednesday, November 23, 2016. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26 at Wade Funeral Chapel in Hubbard with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, November 25 at the funeral home. Jim was born May 11, 1956 in Sweetwater to Dwight Evan Cooper and Emma Lee (Hancock) Cooper. He was raised in Sweetwater where he attended public schools before joining the Air Force during his senior year of high school. Jim had lived in Hubbard for over 25 years and was an avid Hubbard Jaguars fan who enjoyed all sports but especially loved watching the Jaguars football teams. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Bobby Cooper and two sisters, Carol Holsey and Barbara Tidwell. Survivors include his wife, Joann Evans Cooper of Hubbard; five children, Brandy Michele Brown of Hubbard, David Michael Evans and wife, Jennifer of Hubbard, Jimmy Lee Cooper, Jr. of Wichita Falls, D'Amber Cooper of Hubbard and Arianna Michele Cooper of Hubbard; five grandchildren, Alex Castaneda, Paige Gallia, Ayden Gallia and Kaylee Mae Evans, all of Hubbard and Dezi Cooper of Wichita Falls; a sister, Edna Ruth "Patty" Johnson of North Canton, Ohio; a brother, Billy Gene Cooper and wife, Donna Lynn of Abilene and numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family member and friends.
