On Oct 24, 2016, he took the hand of Jesus Christ to be with our Heavenly Father and all the loved ones gone before him. Ken had 9 siblings - 4 sisters & 5 brothers. His family moved around due to his father's ministry work with Ken attending 13 grammar schools. He graduated from Oroville High School, enrolled at Chico State & left college to join the Navy shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He served on the USS Clinton APA 144. After returning home from the war, Ken met his wife to be, Char, in 1946 where they both worked in a local movie theatre & returned to Chico State College. On June 1, 1947 they married in Klamath Falls Oregon and were shortly transferred to Fort Bragg, Ca where Char gave birth to their daughter, Kathleen Jill Dennis. After managing the 1700 seat strand theatre-the largest on the Redwood Theatre Circuit & anticipated the sell-out of National TV; Ken looked at other means to support his family. In 1957, Ken, Char & Jill moved to Reno where Ken bought the Ball Sign Company and founded the D bar M Western store. They participated in local affairs with Ken serving as a Director of the Reno Rodeo where he volunteered for 50 years.
