Marriage was performed by William, County of Nelson & Commonwealth of Virginia. Was James their first child born in c.1789? Their first? second? child Sarah born 1791 in Nelson County. The family moved from Nelson to Muhlenburg. It took them several years before they had 2nd?, 3rd? child, a son Abraham born 2 December 1798 in Lewisburg, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. May not be possible for them to have James Houghland who was born about 1781 [or 1791]. James was married to Cecilia in 1805 in Shelby County [according to Cecelia's divorce papers] but I have no evidence that James the son of James was living in Kentucky in 1783, and any such theory seems inconsistent with the record that a researcher at the Bullitt County museum COMPILED a statement/book that they were married in 1807 WITHOUT SHOWING AN IMAGE of their marriage record. Other researchers MADE notoriously unreliable sources on LDS. .........
