Bonham, Texas -- Funeral services for Mr. Veston Mulder, age 90, of Bonham will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2005 at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel in Bonham. Bro. Rick Schultz will officiate and interment will follow in Duplex Cemetery. Mr. Mulder passed away Monday, February 7, 2005 at Northeast Medical Center in Bonham. He was born June 6, 1914 in Blue Ridge, Texas, the son of the late Harvey Carol and Cora Ethel McDonald Mulder and he married Edna George Mulder on February 8, 1941 in Blue Ridge. She preceded him in death. Mr. Mulder was a carpenter and of the Baptist faith. He was a devoted hunter and fisherman. Mr. Mulder was a past member of the Fannin County Hunter's Association and he also loved bowling. The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 9 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. Veston Mulder is survived by his two sons, David Mulder of Bonham and Jack Mulder & wife JoAnn of Bonham; four grandchildren, Kathy Mulder of Bonham, Rhonda Howery of Ft. Worth, Texas, Stephanie Hobbs of South Texas and Vickie Raines of Gainesville, Texas; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Clifford Mulder; daughter, Janice Mulder; brother, D.A. Mulder; and sister, Ruby Mulder. Pallbearers will be Roosevelt Ross, Mike Bankston, Donald Nolan, Chuck Crossland, Kent Hall and Kelly Titsworth. Honorary pallbearers will be special friend Jeff Kennedy and Texas Department of Transportation employees.
