Doris (Kelton) LaHue , formerly of Crawford, passed away Thursday, morning October 20, 2016, at the age of 89. Graveside services and interment will be 10:00 a.m. Sat. at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Friday at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Drive. Mr. LaHue was born February 2, 1927, In Crawford, Texas, the only child of Travis B. and Nellie (Clemons) Kelton and began her education in Crawford. In 1944, she graduated from McGregor High School. On March, 30, 1946, she married Robert Edwin LaHue in Detroit, Michigan. On November 30, 1985, he preceded her in death after thirty-nine years of marriage. In 1955, Doris returned to Central Texas from Detroit to reside in Waco. In 1950, she held her first employment with Evers Corner Drug at the stores soda fountain. She later was employed by R.E. Cox and Company as a saleslady in the stationary department. For many years, she was a receptionist with First Federal Savings and Loan at the Downtown location in Waco. Survivors include a son Dennis LaHue and wife Renna of Arnaudville, LA and two grandchildren, Robby, Rebecca LaHue and a great grandson, Joseph LaHue.
