Thorp, Archie Jarlar, a resident of Carrollton, TX, was born January 1, 1924 in Celeste, TX to Eddie Alvin and Estelle Alton (Sims) Thorp Sr. He passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 in Sulphur, OK at the age of 92 years old. Archie was married to Alice McGee Thorp in Greenville, TX on August 5, 1956. He grew up in Celeste and attended school there until being inducted into the Army during World War II. He returned to Texas where he owned and operated Thorp Plumbing in the Farmers Branch and Carrollton area. He lived in Davis for 7 years where he also did plumbing. Archie later returned to Carrollton for a few years before returning to Sulphur, OK in September of 2016. Archie is survived by his wife, Alice; his daughters, Diane Craig of Sulphur, OK and Denise Hess of Carrollton, TX; his son, Archie James Thorp of Carrollton, TX; his brothers, Jerry Thorp and Willie Thorp; and his sister, Frances Remediz Walls. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 21, 2016, from 6:00PM- 8:30PM at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, TX.The Funeral Services will be at 10:00AM, October 22, 2016, at Wildwood Chapel in Rest land Funeral Home.
