According to Ancestry, there is paperwork on the estate of Susan (Slagle) Strahan which lists her children and grandchildren. Her children: Peter Strahan, administrator of his mother's estate Andrew J. Strahan William Strahan Jacob Strahan Mary Ann (Strahan) McClain Lucinda (Strahan) Bowermaster Sarah (Strahan) West Elizabeth (Strahan) Shepherd, deceased, her children -- William Shepherd, Charlie Shepherd, Harvey Shepherd, and Emma (Shepherd) Clements -- grandchildren of Susan (Slagle) Strahan. These papers of the estate of Susan (Slagle) Strahan, proves a connection to her children and her grandchildren.
