Bio
William Marion Coker Jr., 76 of Ashdown,Arkansas died January 29, 2012 at his home. He was born in Fouke, Arkansas on July 28, 1935. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Marion Coker Sr. and Laddie Lucille McCormick Coker; and two brothers, John Wylie Coker and Dennis Eugene Coker. Marion was retired from SWEPCO after 43 years. He loved his community and served on the city council for over 20 years. He was a member of Hicks First Baptist Church and served as a deacon for many years. He was also a member of the Rotary Club. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, a son and daughter-in-law a daughter and son-in-law, two grandsons, four step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday February 2, 2012 at Hicks First Baptist Church in Ashdown, Arkansas. Burial will be immediately following at Ashdown Memorial Gardens in Ashdown, Arkansas under the direction of Madden Funeral Home, Ashdown,AR.
