Bio

Lola M. Potrzeba, 61, of Grand Island, passed away, Saturday, September 24, at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Friday, September 30, 2016, at Saint Leo's Catholic Church with The Reverend Don Buhrman officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from Noon - 7 PM with a Christian Wake Service at 6:30 PM at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date. Online condolences may be directed to www.livson.com. Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Lola was born on August 11, 1955 in Grand Island to Edward J. and Lola M. (Goodwin) Potrzeba. She grew up in Central City and graduated from Central City High School in 1973. She started working for Lakeview Golden Living Center in June of 1981. She just recently achieved 35 years of service with the home. She loved working there and loved the residents she served. She enjoyed reading, shooting pool, bowling, watching movies and Husker games and especially spending time with her family. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Jessica (Miller) Potrzeba of Waukee, IA; 2 sisters, Pamela Potrzeba and Diane Price both of Grand Island. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, and her aunt, Bonnie Goodwin. Lola was preceded in death by her parents; son, Travis Meiringer and half-brother, Arthur "Archie" Goodwin.
