Arthur "Archie" Goodwin, 62, of Dannebrog, NE, died Monday, June 13, 2005 at the Good Samaritan Center in Wood River. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, at Kleine Funeral Home with Pastor Don Voorhees officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Kleine Funeral Home. "Archie" was born Sept. 23, 1943 at Cairo, NE. He lived with his mother, Lola (Potrzeba) Goodwin as a young boy and attended school in Cairo. Later he joined his two uncles on their farm and worked with them many years. He was a member of the Christian Faith and was a very special man who could do almost anything and helped anyone who needed his assistance, including the Senior Citizens in his apartment complex. He enjoyed working on racecars, playing cards with friends and truly enjoyed mowing lawns. During his life he worked as a self-employed handyman. "Archie" is survived by three half-sisters: Diane Price, Lola Potrzeba, and Pam Potrzeba, one aunt: Christie Holtz, and numerous cousins among which is Barbara Rodriguez who was instrumental in supervising his care, helping where she was needed, and being a special friend. Pastor Don Voorhees also helped with his care and concerns. Arthur was preceded in death by his mother, and special uncles.
