Bio

Angeline (Angie) Lenart Dudley, 98, of Waco, passed from this life to eternal rest on Friday, Sept. 23, 2016. Catholic Rite of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Robinson, Texas, with Rev. Joe L. Geleney as celebrant. Private committal service following at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco. The family will receive visitors 6 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, Sept. 26, at the funeral home. Angeline was born Jan. 18, 1918, in West, Texas, to Charlie and Angeline Kadluber Lenart. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption and St. Mary’s Grade School, then helped on the family farm. In 1935 she married Clarence R. Dudley. They lived in West, Penelope, Granbury, and Houston, settling in Waco in 1950. After being a homemaker for many years, she worked at Piccadilly Cafeteria in downtown Waco for 13 years, then Library Binding Co. for 30 years. She knew that Jesus Christ was her Lord and Saviour, and was a faithful parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for over 50 years. After retirement she stayed busy with yard work, gardening, family get-togethers and cooking enormous meals for loved ones. She especially enjoyed hosting out-of-town relatives. Angie was proud of her Czech heritage and still spoke the language with her siblings. She made many trips to West to visit relatives, attending family reunions, and of course, a stop for kolaches. Angie was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Robert Dudley, of Chelan, WA; three brothers; three sisters; five nieces; and three nephews. Angie is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth Anderson and husband Andy, of Marion, TX, and Barbara Clark, of Hewitt, TX; also by eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and four nieces.
