Bio

Elizabeth Boggs Robinson, daughter of James Bonner Robinson and Eliza Ann Bonner, was born 9 October 1852 in Wilcox Co., AL. She was named for her father's mother and baptized by the Rev. John Miller on 31 July 1853. Lizzie lived with her parents on their plantation in Freestone Co., TX until her marriage to her mother's first cousin, John Laird Bonner, on 6 October 1881. Her uncle Rev. Thomas Joel Bonner performed the ceremony. John Laird Bonner was a widower and twenty years her senior. For a while the family lived in Corsicana, Navarro Co., TX and were charter members of the ARP Church there. They later returned to their home in Bonnerville and renewed membership in Harmony ARP Church at Stewards Mill. Elizabeth Boggs Robinson and John Laird Bonner were parents of five children: Annie Lee; Janie Bell; Sallie Robinson; Wirt Knox; James Millen. Lizzie outlived her husband by 16 years. She had a heart attack while visiting her sister Sallie Hope Robinson Bonner and died on 9 October 1921.
