Bio
Funeral services for Morris "Newt" Branch, 80, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the chapel of Harrison Funeral Home with Rev. Buford Rainwater officiating. Full military services will be held. Burial will be in Lynchburg Cemetery. Mr. Branch died early Wednesday morning at Harton Hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of Moore County and a son of the late John and Josephine Landers Branch. He was a retired farmer of the Hickory Hill community. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Shirley McAdams, Mrs. Murphy Durham, and Mrs. Charles Bell, all of Tullahoma, and Mrs. Marvin Davis of Estill Springs; four sons, Ernest, Herman, and Houston Branch, all of Lynchburg, and Robert Branch of Tullahoma; one sister, Mrs. Elmer Painter of Elora; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be from American Legion Post 43 in Tullahoma. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Branch, Claude Branch, J. C. Branch, Frankie Golden, Harville Patterson and Harlan Patterson.
