Clarion News - Sept. 29, 1983 Mrs. Lillian C. Kifer, 89, of Clearfield, a former Clarion resident, died Thursday morning, Sept. 22, 1983, in Clear Haven Nursing Center. Born May 23, 1894, in Raughts, near Halton, she was a daughter of the late Ernest L. and Anna M. Smith Butts. She was married to O. W. Kifer who preceded her in death. Mrs. Kifer was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church and was a former member of Sunday Class 10. She was a member of Clearfield Chapter 379, Order of Eastern Star, and was formerly a member of Lady Hills Rebekah Lodge. One son Chester, one daughter, Joyce Hetrick and one sister preceded her in death. Services were at 11 a.m., Monday, from the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., with Dr. Raymond D. Farvel officiating. Burial was in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
