"Eva Marie (Sok) Spenner was born to John and Anna (Augustyn) Sok December 10, 1934 in rural Valley County, Nebraska. She passed away on August 21, 2016 at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Eva attended school at District 47 in Valley County. On January 16, 1946, the family moved to Burt County, Nebraska, where Eva attended school and graduated from Tekamah High School in 1952. On April 16, 1956, Eva and Bernard Spenner were united in marriage at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Tekamah, Nebraska. To this union were born four children, Joseph, David, Lou and Donna. They made their home and raised their children on a farm west of Tekamah, where Eva was a homemaker, bookkeeper, gardener, housekeeper and caretaker of the elderly. Eva was an active member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and Altar Society. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard; brothers, Henry Sok, Steve Sok; sister, Lillian (Sok) Vetick. She is survived by her sons, Joseph Spenner of Jacksonville, FL, David Spenner of Bellevue, NE; daughters, Lou (Bill) Calhoon of Stanton, NE, Donna Spenner of Tekamah; two grandsons; two granddaughters; 3 great grandsons; sisters, Josephine Marquardt of Omaha, Adelene Laetsch of Atkinson, NE, Marie Gill of Tekamah; many nieces and nephews."
