Married Apr 24 1942 Chadron, Dawes, NE, per both obits, but they claim "married" in the 1940 Census ----------------------------------------------- Ord Does Conduct Final Services for Mrs. Patchen Gladys Patchen, a life time resident of the Ord area died unexpectedly Thursday at the age of 55. Mrs. Patchen was born Sept. 2, 1913, to Harold and Goldie Cook Stewart. She attended rural school in the Springdale community and was married to Onnie Patchen Apr. 24, 1942, at Chadron. Mr. Patchen preceded her in death Feb. 19, 1969. Survivors include one stepson, Harold Patchen of Las Gatos, Calif.; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Helen Manchester, Richmond, Calif., Mrs. Lorene Ogborn, North Platte, and Mrs. Virginia Manchester, Sacramento, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Margarete Trummell, Phoenix, Ariz.; and eight step-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 pm in Hastings-Pearson Chapel. Interment was in the Ord City Cemetery.
