Bio

Son of Arthur "Art" & Mathilda (Egger) Heibel, Sr. He attended school at Christ Lutheran School and graduated from Kramer High School in 1943. On June 9, 1946, Bud married Mildred Janssen at St. John's Church in rural Columbus. Bud was a farmer and raised beef cattle and also worked for the Soil Conservation Services as a technician for 20 years. Bud was very active at Christ Lutheran Church where he was involved in the Lutheran Laymen's League. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bud was formerly active in the rural volunteer fire department and treasurer of the Bismark Township for many years. Bud was also active in the 4-H and coached baseball.
