Marilyn Sabey Wilson, 73, returned to Heavenly Father on July 30, 2016, after a life devoted to her family. She was born April 16, 1943 to Earl and Viola Madsen Sabey. She attended Jordan High School and Brigham Young University. She is survived by her children; her siblings; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Donald. She married Dee M. Wilson, in 1964, later divorced. Marilyn enjoyed BYU football, puzzles, counted cross stitch, collecting bunnies and Santa Claus figures. She was a talented seamstress and taught her children how to sew. She spent many years as a 4-H leader teaching sewing and cooking. Her memory lives on in the talents she shared with so many. Marilyn worked for many years as a medical transcriptionist at Cottonwood Hospital. She had profound faith and was obedient in following our Savior. She especially enjoyed the LDS Institute classes she took these last few years. She learned so much and was excited to share and testify of Jesus Christ and His gospel. Marilyn especially loved her family and dedicated her life to all of them. As a single mom, she sacrificed so much for her children. She often had multiple jobs in order to support her family. She was a wonderful "Grammy" and worked hard to know all of her grandchildren, traveling to visit them as often as possible. Marilyn will be missed by many and we are comforted to know that she is at peace and reunited with loved ones. Our family is very grateful to her wonderful neighbors and ward members who have served and watched over her for so many years. Viewing will be held Monday, August 8, from 6-8 pm at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State, Midvale. Funeral services will be August 9, at 11:00, at the LDS Church, 2925 East Bengal Blvd, (7800 S), Cottonwood Heights, UT, with a viewing starting at 10:00 am. Interment will be in the Midvale Cemetery. More information at: www.goffmortuary.com Published in Salt Lake Tribune on Aug. 7, 2016
