Bio

Mrs. Thompson died on Thursday, July 28, 2016, in Temple, Texas. She was born on March 6, 1920 in Pontotoc, Oklahoma to Henry Benjamin Columbus Moore and Annie Haley Moore of Oklahoma. She attended high school in Wichita Falls, Texas, and later married her husband Kenneth Dale Thompson in Walters, Oklahoma. She retired from the Aldine Independent School System in Houston before moving to Salado in 1983, where she resided for 33 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Kenneth Dale Thompson of Salado. Survivors include one sister, Dorothy Moore Hollis of Houston; one daughter, Sherry Thompson Patterson of Salado; two granddaughters, Heather Stewart Ables and Leah Davis Waters of Salado; and three great grandchildren, Hayden, Brianna, and Trey Waters, all of Salado.
