Cherokee Times: Sept. 1 1922: Page 5 Mrs. Charles Wentworth died at her home in Rock township, Monday morning. For some weeks she had been in poor with little hope of recovery. Mrs. Wentworth always enjoyed the repitation of being a charitable and good woman. her family in particular reaped the benefits of her kind and generous soul and they will miss her advice, help, and amiable presence in the home. Margaret Ann Schmitz, second daughter of Joseph and Mary Schmitz, was born at Fon Du Lac, Wisconsin, June 9th, 1871, and died at her home in Rock township, August-28, 1922. When the deceased was seven years of age the family moved to this county, where she has since resided. On August 20, 1889, she was united in marriage to Charles Wentworth, at Cherokee. To this union the following children were born: Earl J., William A., Pearl; Luella G., and Francis Vernon. Pearl died December 29, 1904. All of the other children reside in Cherokee county. The funeral services were held from the Visitation church, Maryhill, Wednesday morning; at nine o'clock. A large number of friends and relatives assembled to pay the last honors to the dead.
