Raymond Mihulka, 98, of Greeley, Colorado, formerly of Columbus, Nebraska, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016 in Colorado. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 10:30 A.M. at St. Luke's United Church of Christ with Rev. Chris McArdle officiating. Interment will be in the Gruetli Cemetery, rural Columbus. Memorials may be directed to St. Luke's United Church of Christ or donor's choice. Raymond Fred Mihulka, Sr. passed away July 12, 2016. Ray was born February 21, 1918 in Columbus, Nebraska. His parents were Fred and Emma (Brunken) Mihulka. He graduated from Kramer High School in 1936 and served five years in the National Guard in the 110 Medical Regiment. He met Esther Balmer during high school and the two were married on June 25, 1940. They had three children Raymond Jr., Sharon and Charles. He co-owned Mihulka's Auto Electric and Sandman Motel with his brothers. He was active at St. Luke's United Church of Christ. He had many interests and hobbies including music, gardening, painting, collecting artifacts, dancing, fishing and hunting. Ray is survived by: Daughter: Sharon and son-in-law Verlyn of Bandera, TX Son: Charles and daughter-in-law Janice of Greeley CO Daughter-in-law: Leanna of Columbus 2 sisters-in-law: Lillian Carlson and Nancy Wolf 7 grandchildren 11 great grandchildren Many nieces and nephews
