Obituaries: Paris News, The (TX) - Thursday, May 1, 2003 CLARKSVILLE Harold James Garrett, 84, of Avery died Monday, April 28, 2003. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 3, in Avery United Methodist Church with the Rev. Pete Adrian officiating. Burial will follow in Avery Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Velma Moore Garrett; a son, Stan Garrett and wife, Martha, of Texarkana; a daughter, Elise Garrett of Texarkana; and two grandchildren, Annie Elise Garrett and Cody Maynard.
