Bio
Larry R. Hoelscher, 69, of Westphalia, died Monday, July 4, 2016, in a Temple Hospital. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 7, 2016, in the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia. Rev. Walter Dhanwar officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia. Larry was born in Marlin, Texas, to the late Anton and Helen Gausemeier Hoelscher. He lived in Westphalia all of his life. He graduated from Rosebud High School, Temple College and Texas Tech University. He served in the Texas National Guard for six years. He was District Clerk in Falls County for over 30 years and was a member of the Church of the Visitation. Survivors include his brother, Tony Lynn Hoelscher and wife, Lillian, of Westphalia; three nephews; five great-nephews; and many friends.
