Bio
Elsie is the daughter of Thomas and Ludmilla (Polacek)Polivka. She attended country school District 48 and graduated from Brainard High School in 1942. On May 18-1946 she married Daniel Dvorak at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Lincoln. She worked for Fred Well's in Lincoln, Fairmont Creamery in Omaha and was an assistant manger at Foster's in San Francisco. Elsie was appointed Postal Clerk in Brainard in November of 1959 and later appointed Post Master on March 6-1981. She retired on October 2-1992. She received the Good Neighbor Award in 1996, she also belonged to Holy Trinity Church, PCCW, American Legion Auziliary and Western Fraternal (ZCBJ). She was a lover of flowers, enjoyed her yard work and baking.
