Leona Trompler Radke Born in Bynum, Texas on Jan. 26, 1917 Departed on Nov. 7, 2006 and resided in Hubbard, TX. Visitation: Wednesday Nov. 8, 2006 Service: Thursday Nov. 9, 2006 Cemetery: Walling Cemetery Leona Trompler Radke, 89, of Hubbard and formerly of Malone, died Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at a local nursing home. Leona was born January 26, 1917 in Bynum, Texas the daughter of Henry and Gertrude (Muesse) Trompler. She grew up in the Malone area. On December 5, 1935 she married Alvin Radke and he preceded her in death on May 20, 1999. She was a life long member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Malone. Working in her yard, raising flowers, and cooking for her children and grandchildren were her greatest joys in life. Leona was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Leon Radke, on March 25, 2005; and a brother, Halmut Trompler, on January 12, 1969. Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Radke and wife, Dorothy, of Irene and Ronnie Radke and wife, Sara, of Malone; a brother, Alvin "Buddy" Trompler of Waxahachie; two sisters, Frances Hollingsworth of China Spring and Florene Grounds of Corsicana; seven grandchildren, Debbie Schronk, Donald "Bubba" Radke, Dean Radke, Rhonda Howard, Lee Fuller, Chad Radke, and Jake Radke; and nine great-grandchildren.
