Bio
Helene C. Zaloudek Valek, 97, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2016, after an extended stay at the UT Southwestern William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital in Dallas. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p. m., Thursday, June 30, 2016, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2016, in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father Henry Drozd as celebrant. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in the Calvary Hill Cemetery, Dallas. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, she moved to Texas after her marriage and resided in Ennis for more than 70 years. She was employed by Citizens National Bank (now known as Bank of America), rising from teller to a position as vice-president when she retired. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Valek, in 1971; sister, Lillian A. Krippner and her husband, William J., and infant sister, Rose Zaloudek; and brother, Vincent W. Zaloudek and wife, Nadyne. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. F22
