Freda Randol, 89 year-old Custer City, Oklahoma resident, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016, at her home in Custer City. She was born August 13, 1926, southeast of Weatherford, Oklahoma, to John and Helena (Thiessen) Dick She was raised southeast of Weatherford and attended Normal View Rural School and graduated from Weatherford High School in 1944. On October 25, 1945, she married Elmer Eldon Randol in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They made their home southeast of Custer City where she worked alongside of her husband on the family farm. Freda enjoyed cooking, working in her flower beds, reading, and most of all was her family. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Custer City. Freda is survived by her son, Mark Randol and wife, Connie of Weatherford, Oklahoma; her daughter, Cathy Baker and husband, Terry of Butler, Oklahoma; her sister, Opal Hampton-Crall and husband, Lamar of Hinton, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Whittington and husband, Rick of Clinton, Oklahoma, Heather Johnson and husband, Brian of Clinton, Oklahoma, Jason Baker and wife, Jeni of Arapaho, Oklahoma, Desiree Meacham and husband, Russ of Clinton, Oklahoma, Valerie Markum and husband, Seth of Tuttle, Oklahoma, Zach Randol and wife, Kim of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and Josh Randol and wife, Robyn of Weatherford, Oklahoma; fifteen great-grandchildren, Jaxson Baker, Jantz Baker, Conner Meacham, Kennedy Meacham, Kathryn Meacham, Grant Markum, Olivia Markum, Tayler Randol, Mason Randol, Montana Harrelson, Cherokee Teel, Remi Randol, Ripken Randol, Julie Mell, and Jennifer Carpenter; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Gertrude Dick; and five brothers, Elmer, Johnnie, Arthur, Carl, and Roy Dick. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 27, 2016, 10:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Custer City with Rev. Greg Keith officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.
