Bio

Francis E. Plummer, 64, 810 First Ave., died Monday at a local hospital. He was a native of Johnstown, Neb., and lived in Council Bluffs for many year. Mr. Plummer was a truck driver, a life member of the VFW and served in the Army Corps of Engineers during World War II Survivors are one son, James; and four sisters, Florence Marshall of New York state, Leta Plummer and Margaret Anderson, both of Portland Ore. And Jean Gartin of Branson, Mo. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Downsville Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. James Roulsen, pastor of Broadway United Methodist Church, officiating. Graveside military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 737. Cutler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
