Mary was the oldest of the 6 children born to Charles Lockhart and Harriet Tucker. She married Dr. R.A. Cole of Navasota, TX in 1872. He preceded her in death on October 1 1901, Rockport, TX. She was preceded in death by 2 children, Buena and Surry. She is survived by 6 children: Mrs. Eva Manley, McKinney, TX; Mrs. D.T. (Minnie) Roberts; Charles Early, Vernon, TX; Andrew, Felt, OK; Mrs. W.O. (India) Haney, Vernon, TX and Mrs. T.B. (Jessie) Haney, Clayton, NM and by brother: Samuel Lockhart, Weyland, TX.
