Bio

Alice Mason never married. She was the daughter of Rev. Wiley Allen Mason and Mary Elizabeth Riddle. Her father was also a merchant in Alvord for awhile. Alice's mother was killed in the tornado that hit Cisco, Eastland Co., TX in 1893. Alice taught school in Alvord area in late 1910 and early 1920's. Beside Sallie Mason McMillan, she had another sister, Lillie D. Mason Leonard, who was a surgical nurse. Lillie is buried in Settlement Cemetery, Shirley, Van Buren Co., Arkansas.
