Bio

Funeral for John B. Richardson, 69, was to be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cate-Spencer Chapel with Larry Fluitt, minister of Lamar St. Church of Christ, officiating. Burial was to be in Slater's Chapel Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites. Mr. Richardson died Sunday at Simmons Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 20, 1900, in Mertens, he had lived in Sweetwater 50 years and was a retired farmer. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. W. R. Johnson Jr. of Amarillo and Mrs. Buddy Proffitt of Big Spring; three grandsons; a sister, Mrs. Edgar Elliott of Hico; and a brother, R. L. of Fort Worth.
