Bio
Alva 'Bernice' Klemme, a resident of Del City, passed from this earth and into her Heavenly home on Nov. 4, 2006, after a long battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald M. Klemme, whom she wed in 1958, as well as her parents, Raymond and Geneva Wesley of Bakersfield, CA. She is survived by three sons, Mike and his wife Sandy of Marietta, GA; Terry and his wife Connie of Mustang, OK; Bryan of Okla. City; grandchildren, Jennifer, Tyler, Mikael, Kevin, Mark and one great grandchild, Ashlynne; sister, Carolyn Ward of California. Bernice was a carrier for the Daily Oklahoman for 27 years. She worked in food service for Mid-Del Schools for many years and enjoyed making and selling crafts of all varieties. Bernice was a loving person who always had a word of encouragement for those she loved. She was a loyal friend. Services will be Wednesday, Nov. 8th in the Candlewood Chapel at Ford Funeral Service with burial to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery. Published in The Oklahoman on 11/6/2006.
