Daughter of Samuel A (b.~1836 NY) and Julia Ann (b.~1840 PA) Brown Siblings: Samuel A - 67891610 Frank - 100205905 William - 155250099 Emma - 134411964 John A "Jack" (b.~1871 IA) ------------------------------------------- Married ~1880, James Thomas Howard (1829 TN-1918 IL), as his second or third wife; died intestate, Cook Co. probate records said he died in Chicago; unknown burial location ------------------------------------------- MRS. J.T. HOWARD Lola A. Brown was born June 14, 1858 in Clinton county Iowa and died in Valley county Nebraska, March 9, 1911. She was united in marriage to J.T. Howard at Cordova, Ill., July 1874. Of this union were born four children, three girls and one boy. Two of the girls died in Texas while young. The son now lives at Rock Island, Ill., and the daughter, Mrs. W. Paddock, lives at North Loup. Her husband is still living at Hillsdale, Ill., but is an almost helpless invalid. Mrs. Howard was a member of the M.E. Church in Illinois. Her death was caused by cancer, from which she suffered very greatly. The funeral service was held at the home of her brother, John Brown, south of Ord. The service was in charge of A.L. Umpleby, pastor of the ME church. She was buried in the Ord cemetery. The Ord Quiz - Thur, Mar 16 1911, Pg 1, Col 5
