Jerry R. Moore, 79, of Salina, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016. He was born Aug. 19, 1936, in Marlow, Okla., to Joe and Evelyn Moore. He married Madelene Fowler on Nov. 4, 1955, in Fletcher, Okla. Jerry had many jobs in the aviation field throughout his life starting with helicopter and aviation maintenance for the U.S. Army and Navy in Fort Sill, Okla., Wheeler Air Force Base in Hawaii, and Fort Rucker, Ala., and continued with buying and selling aircraft, aircraft inspecting, FAA designated A&P mechanic examiner, master mechanic and was owner of Moore’s Midway Aviation/America Jet in Salina for more than 20 years. In his retirement years, he enjoyed traveling in his motor home with his wife and their dogs, Annie and Macy. Spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, attending many of their sporting events, school functions and productions. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marilyn Gallops; and brother, Jim Moore. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Madelene, of the home; daughters, Terri (John) Ewing, of Montgomery, Texas, Tammie (Greg) Lust, of Salina, and Tracie (Robert) Rust, of Wamego; grandchildren, Chase Ewing, Alex Ewing, Grant Ewing, Garrett Lust, Lauren Lust, Lexus (Weston) Wilson, Pate Nowlin, Hadley Nowlin, Joshua Rust, Porter Nowlin, Matty Nowlin, Mally Nowlin, Palmer Nowlin, Pruitt Nowlin and Parker Nowlin; great-grandchildren, Addisen Wilson, Addilynn Wilson and Adler Wilson; brother, Joe (Lucy) Moore, of Lawton, Okla.; and sister-in-law, Mary Kay Moore, of Hollister, Mo. Ryan Mortuary handled the arrangements.
