Bio

Fort Bend Herald, May 31, 2016: Evelyn Stock was born on October 31, 1923 to Charles and Olga Hajek and she passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the age of 92. She was married to Willie Stock for 53 years and to that union they had three children, Joyce, Kay Lynn and Randy. Evelyn and her husband started their life together on a farm in Shiner, Texas raising crops. Later they moved on a Dairy in Dewalt, Texas where Evelyn was a housewife and mother. Their final destination was them moving to Sugar Land, Texas where Evelyn worked for Lakeview Elementary School Cafeteria for 25 years. She was the most strong willed, independent, hardworking wife, mother, and granny known. Along with working, she dedicated her time to cleaning, sewing, cooking, and baking many desserts. She will be deeply missed but not forgotten. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Stock; her brothers, Laddie Hajek of Shiner and Marvin Hajek of Victoria; sister, Florene Stluka of Victoria; and daughter, Joyce Franek and her husband, Ed Franek. Survivors include her children, Kay Lynn Hand and husband, Walter, and son, Randy Stock and wife, Kelly; grandchildren, Nancy Franek, Sharon Gonzales and husband, Steve, Curtis Hand and wife, Kim, Jason Hand and Tina Bishop and husband, Andre'; great grandchildren, Trevor Hand, Tyler Hand, Kayla Franek, T.J. Franek, Azalea Bishop, Ayanna Bishop, and Azavier Bishop; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 2, 2016 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Sugar Land with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
