Bio
Jimmie Baugus was born on December 31, 1946 in Hale County, Texas to J. B. Baugus and Ruby Laverne Boren. Jimmie and the love of his life, Judy Arline Stuart Williams, were married on September 23, 1978, joining two families with a total of six children. Judy and Jimmie lived in Farmersville, Princeton, and Rowlett, Texas, before retiring in 2003 and moving to Mena, Arkansas, where they lived happily for the remainder of their lives. Jimmie was an auto mechanic by trade and loved working on his property in Mena. He loved going to garage sales with Judy and enjoyed helping with her Red Hats club activiites. Jimmie liked to travel and loved visiting his mother and sister in Jasper, Alabama, whenever he could. Jimmie was survived by two sons Danny (Tanya) Baugus and Steven (Norma) Baugus as well as four stepchildren: Steve (Tina) Williams, Ron (Christina) Williams, Sherry Williams Baker, and Annette (Jimmy) Ives. He also was survived by his mother, Ruby Boren Hortness, and his sisters VeDera Duke Baker and Danell Hortness Fawson, and his brother James Duke. Judy and Jimmie had several surviving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jimmie and Judy were tragically killed in an automobile accident in El Dorado, Arkansas, on June 2, 2016.
