Bio

Anna Belle Craven 81, passed away, May 23, 2016, at her home in Central Point, Ore., of natural causes, after a long illness. She was born Oct. 30, 1934, to Mary E. (Thomas) Craven and James T. Craven. She grew up on a farm near Burwell, where the Calamus Damn now stands. Anna Belle served in the United States Air Force in Wyoming as a Communications Specialist. She married Robert Ruzicka of Taylor June 11, 1953. They had six children. Bob and Annie owned and operated B&B Mobil at Taylor for a number of years. She moved to Central Point, Ore., in 1997, where she retired and resided until her death. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and canning. She is proceeded in death by her parents; two sisters, Sarah Donner and Isabel Mattern; three brothers, Bernard, Thomas and Bill Craven; and a great-grandson. She is survived by her six children, Cynthia Ruzicka of Broken Bow, David (Peggy) Ruzicka of Checotah, Okla., Dawnetta (Mervin) Johnson of Ansley, Bryan of Hemingford, Doreene (Craig) VanDiest of Taylor, and Bradley of Hisperia, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Litchfield Cemetery. Published in Custer County Chief on June 2, 2016
