Marvin R. Graf, 88 years of age, of Lincoln passed away in Lincoln Saturday morning, May 28, 2016. He was born on April 20, 1928 in Ansley, Nebraska to Wilhelm Julius and Carrie May McCullough Graf. Marvin served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He and D. Jeanette Meyers were married on October 21, 1954. He had been employed at the Beatrice State Developmental Center for over 30 years, and had served as a supervisor, Personnel and Safety Director before retiring in 1990. Marvin was a member of the Wymore Church of Christ, and had been a deacon, assisted with communion, and visited the shut-in members of the church. He was also a member of the musical group Blue Valley Jammers, the VFW and American Legion clubs in Wymore, and the VIPS Group. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, helping people, music, and dancing. Survivors include: his wife Jeanette; daughters, Brenda Johnson, Connie Jones, Marlene Foote and husband Brian, and Karla Zito and husband Robert; nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren; sister, Nellie May; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Wymore Church of Christ with Clayton Lundstedt and Gail Portenier officiating. Burial will be in the Blue Springs Cemetery. Military graveside services will be provided by the Wymore American Legion. obituary informaiton from Griffiths Hovendick Chapel.
