Bio
A Mason; on double marker with Minda Tidwell (1863-1946) Winston Bly Tidwell services June 12 Rev. Van P. Morrison, Rev. Nance of Dallas and Rev. George Davis of Granbury conducted funeral services for Winston Bly Tidwell Thursday afternoon, June 12, at the family home. Mr. Tidwell passed away June 11, 1947. He was born in Missouri October, 1, 1867. He was married to Miss Minda Russell December 18, 1890 and they moved to Hood County in 1892, settling on the farm near Tolar where he passed away. Mr. Tidwell had been a member of the Methodist Church since early childhood. He was a charter member of the Glen Rose Masonic Lodge No. 525 and he was a true Mason at heart for more than half a century. Interment was in the Rock Church Cemetery and full Masonic honors were accorded him. Survivors are four children, L. B. Tidwell of Tolar; G. H. Tidwell of California; Mrs. J. R. Smith of Dallas and Mrs. H.L. Wright of Fort Worth; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. (source: The Granbury News [TX] - 19 June 1947)
