Services for Annie Mae Hollowell, 96, of Abilene, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange, with the Rev. David Carson officiating. Burial will be in the Nolan Cemetery. She died Friday at a local nursing home. Born in Content, she moved to the Nolan Community as a child. She moved to Abilene in 1934. She was a five-star mother in World War II, graduated from nursing school as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, and did private nursing for several years. She was the widow of Lewis Howard Hollowell. Survivors include a son, Virgil Hollowell of Andrews; four sisters, Ruth Bennink of Lubbock, Lillie Jordan of Abilene, Irene Helms of Anson, and Margaret Womack of Corpus Christi; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
