Bio
Amelia "Sallie" Truitt Raun of El Campo died May 26, 2016 at the age of 100. She was born on November 13, 1915 to the late Marcus Clayton and Deta Carra Davis Truitt. She was a nurse at Caney Valley Hospital, retiring May 10, 1942. She was a Sunshine Lady at El Campo Memorial Hospital and a member of the Wharton County 100 Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Norris Raun, sister Ruth Franklin and brother Marcus Jack Truitt. Visitation will be on Sunday 4 pm until 6 pm at Triska Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 am on Monday, May 30, 2016, at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Michael Rother officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park.
