Bio

Oscar Walter Horelica, 90, of Tavener, Texas, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016. Oscar was born in Tavener, Texas to parents John Horelica and Agnes Gerick on August 8, 1925. He joined the military as a young man and was soon fighting for our great country in World War II. After being medically discharged from the military, he created a successful business and was owner of Oscar's Auto Parts and Salvage in Houston, Texas. After many years in business, Oscar and his wife Rose Horelica returned to Tavener, Texas to enjoy their later years in life. Oscar is survived by his wife, Rose Horelica of Tavener; daughter, Dee Horelica McQueen and husband, David, of Tavener; sons, Lowry Horelica of New Caney and Larry Horelica of Fulshear; granddaughters, Brandy Jamison and children, Lori and Lane Jamison, of East Bernard, Ashley Krailo and child, Renato Angel Madera, of Houston, and Tiffany Kelly and child, Tori Kelly, of Spring; grandsons, Taylor Krailo of Houston, Tommy Eugene Davis Jr. of Cleveland and wife, Brandi Davis, and children, Cadence Stutes and Zachery Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers; 3 sisters; daughter, Renee Krailo; and son, Tommy Davis Sr. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at First Methodist Church in East Bernard, Texas. Visitation is from 11:00 ­ 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in the East Bernard Methodist Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the following: MD Anderson.
