Obituary from The Enid Daily Eagle, Thursday, 28 March 1957. MRS MARGARET N BLAKE Funeral services for Mrs Margaret N Blake, 65, will be conducted Saturday at 2 pm at the Community church at Kansas, Okla. Rev Bill Boaz will officiate, and burial will follow at the Kansas cemetery, under the direction of the Darnall Funeral home. Mrs Blake died Monday after a long illness. A native of Delaware county, Oklahoma, she came to Enid from Colorado in 1940 and lived here since. Survivors include her husband, Brook, of the home; two daughters, Mrs Irene Miller of the home; and Mrs Maxine Kimes, Freeport, Texas; two sons, Herbert, Fort Morgan, Colo; and Lewis Portland, Ore; five sisters, Miss Fay shelley, Miss Jewell Shelley, and Mrs Rose Johns, Drumright, Okla; Mrs Allie Coleman, Ponca City, and Mrs Maud Henderson, Calif; two brothers, Oscar Shelley, Kansas City, Mo; Jim Shelley, Tulsa; and 17 grandchildren. (Note! although the family spelled their name SHELLY it was spelled SHELLEY through out this obituary)
