Bio

Hosek funeral held at Renville Funeral services for Joseph Hosek, 89, of Danube were held Friday, July 16, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Renville. Burial was at the church cemetery Mr. Hosek died July 13 at his home. He was born July 24, 1881 at Protivion, [sic] Iowa. In early manhood he moved to South Dakota where he farmed. He married Millie Kott. Survivors include two sons, Clarence of Danube and Leonard of Olivia two daughters, Mrs. John Serbus of Renville and Mrs. Alfred Powell of Chamberlain, S. D.; 33 grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, Frank, Emma and Lean all of Iowa, Charles and Anton, both of Academy, S. D.
