To Parents John Henry Leonard and Anna Maria Waggoner. About 1820 Census Page 362, Solomon John Leonard Age 14 Lived With His Parents In Rowan County, N.C. Per 1828 Solomon John Leonard Married Frances (Fannie) Jeans and moved To Lincoln County, Tenn. Place of marriage unknown. Per 1830 census Page 271, Solomon John And Francis (Fanny) Leonard Were Living in Lincoln County, Tenn. Both age 24. P.O. Georges Store Now Known As Smithland. Per 1840 Census Page 044, Solomon John and Francis Age 34, were Living in Lincoln County, Tenn. P.O. Box Georges Store Now Known As Smithland. 7-12-1848 Solomon Leonard Purchased Land On South Bank OF Elks River And Shelton Creek Next To John A. Taylor Land On North Bank Of Elks River. In 1854 John Taylor's son Charles Greenberry Taylor married Solomon Leonard's daughter Alice "Allie" Leonard. Per 1850 Census Page 74 Line 1260, Solomon John Leonard And Family Were Living On Their Land in Lincoln County, Tenn. DUE TO INFO: Received from Researcher Frances West In TN Solomon died before March 3, 1854, - Inventory Done For His Property Was Due for money He Had Borrowed That Was Due April 10, 1853. Per 1860 Census Page 203 Line 1011 Francis And Two Boys In Lincoln County, Tenn. Fanny was Spinning For A Living. Per 1870 Census Page 514 Line 128, Francis and George Jones Were Living On Home Place in Lincoln County, Tenn. Per 1880 Census Page 83 Line 10 Francis Leonard Living With Daughter Allie And Son-in-Law Charles Green Taylor, In Decatur Wise County, Texas. Son George Jones Leonard And Family Were In Decatur Wise County, Texas. It Has Been Said That Solomon Was Buried In The Old Jeff Leonard Cemetery by Petersburg, Lincoln County, Tenn. There Is No Cemetery Left By This Name. The exact location for his grave has been lost to time and elements and/or lack of proper documentation. Per Family data passed down, he died in Lincoln County, Tenn. possibly on homestead/farm where family lived. He is not listed in any Lincoln County, Tenn Census Records after 1850.
