Dorothy M. Rohlik age 88 of Lucan, passed away Sunday May 1, 2016 at Seasons Hospice in Redwood Falls surrounded by family. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30AM Friday May 6, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Lucan. Visitation is 4 to 7PM Thursday at the church with a prayer service and Rosary at 6:30PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Burial is in the church cemetery. Dorothy was born January 16, 1928 on the family farm in Granite Rock Township, Minnesota, one of 13 children of John and Mary (Pavek) Dolan. She graduated from Milroy High School, then Glencoe Teachers College and taught country school in Vesta District 82. Dorothy met and married Roy Rohlik June 21, 1950 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Milroy. The couple had 10 children, 29 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Dorothy "Doris" loved her family, her community and her church. She was a woman of God and His servant on this earth. Dorothy loved baking, making quilts and watching the Minnesota Twins. She was a lifetime member of the CCW at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Lucan. Most of all she truly cared about everyone, especially her children, grandchildren, siblings, in-laws and nieces and nephews. Dorothy will be missed but we rejoice that she is with the Lord in heaven and reunited with all her loved ones, especially her husband Roy, the love of her life and her son Kevin who died in 1976. Dorothy is survived by her children Becky Rohlik, Remi (Darla) Rohlik, Carl (Chris Hess) Rohlik, Diane (Mark) Christensen, Mark (Nancy) Rohlik, Clara (Kevin) Schnyders, Scott (Kathy) Rohlik, Stan (Wendy) Rohlik and Sherri (Don) Rose, 29 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy, son Kevin, four sisters and five brothers. Photo and obituary was published by Stephens Funeral Service .
