Obituary from the Monday, March 28, 1983 issue of The Grayson County News-Gazette, Leitchfield, Kentucky Oliver Popplewell, 88, of Liberty, Ky. died Saturday, March 19, 1983 at this home. He was born November 16, 1894 in Casey County. / He served as Casey Circuit Judge, County Attorney, and Master Commissioner and Attorney for five years. / Survivors include one son, Joel I. Popplewell of Leitchfield; four daughters, Mollie Sweeney and Carolee Sugars both of Liberty and Anita Henritz and Jane Naiser both of Louisville; a sister Carrie Dyer of Burnside, a half sister, Laura Ray of Liberty; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. / Funeral services were held March 21 at McKinney Brown Funeral Home with burial in Antioch Cemetery.
